The elderly’s beach destination back in the day is transformed into a hot spot for the youth!
Let’s check out Songdo Beach, the trending hot spot on social media.

Opened in 1913, Songdo Beach is the first beach in Korea. After its golden period in the 1960s and 1970s, the beach became deserted. Those who wished to bring it back to its former beauty joined forces to repair the abandoned beach, making it even more breathtaking than it was in its heyday. With its spotless sandy beach, clear water, cloud trails, and an overwater cable car, Songdo Beach is once again a popular tourist destination receiving over five million visitors per year.

To enjoy a closer look at Songdo Beach’s dark blue ocean, we move on to the Songdo Skywalk Cloud Trails. Passing by the Songdoho resembling a gliding sailboat across the quiet sea, we enter the cloud trails—the best place to view the vast sea of Songdo up close. The undulating waves under the transparent parts of the bridge captivate our eyes, as we also wave our hands at the overwater cable car overhead. In addition, the rocky island located in the middle of the walking trail grabs the visitors’ attention as it is home to the star-crossed lovers of the mermaid and the fisherman.

The Songdo Overwater Cable Car is a must-visit attraction whether it’s for a cozy family trip or a lovey-dovey couple’s stay. The cable car is a crystal cabin that glides between Songnim Park and Amnam Park to let you enjoy the dizzying ocean and cliffs of unique rock formations under your feet.
Songdo Sky Park, the overwater cable car’s Amnam Park stop, awaits various types of tourists. Time will go by fast while children search for their favorite life-sized dinosaur in Dino Adventure. Lovers can also buy a time capsule to fill with love confessions and then store it for two years in the Sky Harbor Observatory—a location where you can view the Songdo Beach, Amnam Park, and Busanhang Port all at once.
