This themed street conveys Busan’s history and culture. It still tells the story of the opening of Busan Port during the Japanese Occupation of Korea, when Busan was the center of refugee life after the liberation of Korea from Imperial Japan in the 1950s to 1960s and the 1970s and 1980s when the economy boomed. The winding streets and alleys connect the present to the past.
