“Spring” has arrived in the cinematic city of Busan.
Busan Museum of Movies (BOM) is a cinematic experience hall where you can see, feel, and enjoy everything about movies.
Each year, the Busan International Film Festival is held in Busan, a city perfect for filming great movies. Now, it offers a space that allows people to enjoy various experience-based contents related to filming.
The Busan Museum of Movies, classified into various themed experience halls, highlights fun experiences as it helps people understand the history and development process of the Korean movie industry. The program starts with the time-travel train that explains how Busan became a cinematic city in the first place. Each theme has a movie exploration mission to gain hints about the secret to a movie, making visitors express their burning passion for movies.
The cinematic studio, where scenes are filmed using cutting-edge cinematographic techniques and visitors edit the footage themselves, is a highly popular section. At the chroma-key filming studio, people fight with dinosaurs and dodge bullets at the time slice studio. There is no time to be bored once you enter the museum.
If you’ve completed the movie exploration mission, now is the time to verify your knowledge. In the Movie Master Hall, you will take quizzes on your movie knowledge gained at the museum. And your score is…! How fun and exciting!
After enjoying all the experiences at the Busan Museum of Movies, head over to the Cine Museum.
Comprised of eight themed sections, the Cine Museum offers a visual journey through the history of the film industry set against the backdrop of Busan.
Step into the world of film through a variety of immersive zones: the photo area “BACK TO THE '80s” capturing the spirit of 1970s–80s rock ‘n’ roll and hippie culture; “Cinema Busan”, a large-scale immersive media art experience inspired by the cityscape of Busan; “Retro Street”, where you can time-travel through recreations of iconic movie scenes from the ’70s and ’80s; “Fantasy World”, drawing you into a dreamlike, mysterious film atmosphere; “Magic Mirror”, offering an infinite sense of space through dazzling lights and mirrors; the film photo area “Adventure Awards”, where you can pose like a movie star for a keepsake photo; “Romantic Pink”, an AI-powered experience that takes you back to your childhood; and “Infinity Media”, an interactive space where mirrors and motion sensors respond to your every move. Here, you can become the star of your own movie.
Movies can take us back in time, send us into the future, transport us to outer space, or lead us to fantastical worlds straight from our imagination.
In the Cine Museum—where anyone can be the star—enjoy unique experiences and capture amazing photos.
