The southern sea is showing through a pine forest.
The sun shining on it.
Boats are floating on the sparkling waves.
It presents tourists with a relaxing moment for their hearts.
This place is Amnam Park, located at the edge of the southern part of the Amnam Peninsula.
After remaining off-limits to the public as a military reservation district for a long time, this park has been well preserved. The trail in the dense forests, as well as the coastal scenery with cliffs of unique rock formations, attracts tourists.
The trail in the park is perfect for woods bathing, with the ocean on the background. Moreover, the park is well equipped with observatories and suspension bridges. Thanks to the clean water of the near ocean, it is a place visited by many anglers, with a high expectation of big fish throughout the year.

The must-visit stop of the Amnam Park is the Songdo Coast Bollegil Trail. It is an amalgam of two words “boda (to see)” and “dulle-gil (walking path).” The walking course starts from the Hyunin Square, passes through the Amnam Park walking path, and returns.
There are four sections, from first to fourth, which are the southern sea path, ancient forest path, Ahopgubi Trail, and path of memories. Walking on the trail, you will witness the beautiful coastal scenery, biennale sculptures, dense pine forests, and the uninhabited Dudo Island in front of your eyes. This famous coastal trail is also valuable for its geological features as you can observe diverse stratums that have been made with sedimentary rocks from 100 million years ago.
The iron deck is installed, stretching from the end of Songdo Beach to the Amnam Park. Walking on the deck, you can appreciate the coastal scenery while watching the Namhangdaegyo Bridge and Songdo in the distance. Observatories to view the suspension bridges and the ocean are built around the area, making it a perfect background when taking pictures. Under the trail, you can find the small Mongdong Beach, where you can sometimes see people bathing in the sea.
The end of the Songdo Coast Bollegil Trail continues to the Healing Forest Path of Amnam Park themed with “happiness, meditation, challenge, and hope” for “healing.” No matter which theme you choose, you can enjoy the peace in your mind while walking on the path in the dense forests with the refreshing scent of grass.
On the trail surrounded by the dense forests are many observatories where you can appreciate the coastal scenery. Located at the end of Amnam Park, the Dudo Observatory is also a must-visit spot for its fantastic view. Once you get to the top, the Dudo Island, a place to rest for seabirds and the lighthouse, comes into view. The island maintains its pristine environment because it has not been habited for long and is home to many migratory birds. On the observatory, you can also witness the Yeongdo Island and Oryukdo Islets and the scenery of Gamcheonhang Port, where merchant vessels are berthed in a cluster.
The scenery of pristine environment that has not been habited for long,
the Songdo Beach that finished its makeover,
and the Songdo Coast Bollegil Trail would make you enjoy the coastal scenery while watching the southern ocean.
You can go to the Amnam Park to witness all these attractions.
