Daecheon Park is where most people start their hike. The starting point from the park to enter the valley is flat and well formed, so you can embark on the hike smoothly. While passing through the forest park, fill yourself with the freshness of nature. Hike slowly as you stroll along a gentle valley path.

Shortly after, you’ll see a small temple called “Pokposa Temple.” Look around inside Daeungjeon Hall, and turn back to the trail. The uphill part begins after you pass Yangun Falls, with its white waterfall and blue pond beneath. Then soon, you’ll cross Sinseongyo Bridge.

You can now see the downtown of Haeundae in the distance, which means you have walked a long way. Neodul Zone, where rocks gather at the foot of the mountain, is one of the unique spots on the mountain. Read the information board, and drink some water while relaxing for a moment.

In Jangsan Mountain, forest trails and hiking paths are well prepared. You can choose to trek on an easy forest trail, and when you start to get bored, you can directly enter a hiking path. Walking along the wooded and lush trails, you’ll come across a wide field of silver grass. The high and blue sky, silver grass quivering with the cool wind, and small trail in the middle create a picturesque scene you’ll certainly enjoy.

Replenish enough energy in the silver grass field, and head again toward the peak. The trail is wide, but be careful walking among the big rocks. Once you see the stone marker in a space with rough rocks, you’re almost at the top. The sky feels close to your head, almost as if you can touch it. Choose a rock to sit on, and enjoy the beautiful scenery beneath your eyes. The place overlooks Marine City, Gwangandaegyo Bridge, and the Gwangalli coast. In the distance, you can also see Bongnaesan Mountain, Hwangnyeongsan Mountain, and Geumjeongsan Mountain, as well as downtown Busan, which spreads out between the mountains. Take your time to enjoy the cool breeze, and feel the intact spirit of nature.

On your way down the rocky forest path, which is a bit difficult to walk, you’ll get to Jungbong Observatory with a spectacular view, before arriving at Jungbong Peak. The wooden deck stretches along from Jungbong Peak to Ongnyeobong Peak. These and the beautiful ridges offer scenery as cool as the seascape.
