At its center lies Daecheonho Lake, which takes on a different kind of beauty in autumn. Maple and ginkgo trees blaze in shades of red and yellow, and when their reflections on the still water create a scene reminiscent of a watercolor painting.
The lake also connects to the trailhead of Jangsan Mountain, offering a peaceful pause before your hike, accompanied by the soft crunch of fallen leaves beneath your feet.

Before you reach the summit, you’ll come across Jangsan's expansive silver-grass field—one of the mountain’s autumn photo spots. You don’t need to hike all the way up to enjoy the view; sunlight spilling over the swaying silver grass already creates a picture-perfect scene.
If you continue past the field, it takes about 40–50 minutes to reach the top. From the summit, Busan unfolds beneath you in full autumn color, with Gwangandaegyo Bridge and the Haeundae shoreline stretching out in the distance. Keep in mind that the summit lies within a military zone and is only accessible from 10:00 to 15:00, so it’s best to plan your visit accordingly.

After your hike, make your way to Haeundae Somunnan Amso Galbijip in Jung-dong for a well-earned meal. This long-standing restaurant, in the same location since 1964, is beloved for its tender, richly flavored beef ribs and marinated galbi. The fresh ribs are especially popular and sell out daily, so arriving a bit early—or booking ahead—is a smart move.
The meat is grilled on a flat, hotpot-style pan, and many diners finish the meal by adding gamja-sari, springy potato noodles cooked right in the remaining juices. It’s the perfect, comforting way to end a day on the mountain.
