04. Jagalchi Market

When it comes to seafood in Busan, few places are more iconic than Jagalchi Market! On the first floor of the modern market building, you can choose live fish straight from the tanks. Then head to one of the restaurants on the second floor to have it prepared as fresh sashimi.

For an even wider view, take the elevator to the seventh floor and walk up one more flight of stairs to reach the open observation deck. From here, you can look across the water toward Yeongdo Island and spot many of the places visited earlier in the day. The panoramic view makes the extra stop well worth it.

06. Yurari Square & Yeongdodaegyo Bridge

Beneath Yeongdodaegyo Bridge lies Yurari Square, a place tied to the heartbreaking history of the Korean War. During the war, separated families promised to meet here again. Today, statues around the square portray the hardships and hopes of refugees from that time. The waterfront square is also a pleasant place to pause and enjoy the sea. If the bridge lift is operating during your visit, watch as the bridge deck slowly rises above the water.

07. Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) Square
