Enjoy the Whole Day at Hwamyeong Eco Park

Hwamyeong-dong is covered in beautiful colors during the season of roses. In Hwamyeong Rose Garden, which is filled with the delicate fragrance of flowers, more than 50 types of roses are in full bloom, offering a unique spectacle. In addition, you can enjoy picnics and bicycle riding to enjoy the season's freshness at Hwamyeong Eco Park, which is full of greenery.

I first visited Hwamyeong Rose Garden, a rose garden in the city center between Hwamyeong Eco Park and the apartment complex. It is a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hwamyeong Station on Busan Metro Line 2, so anyone can easily visit it. It is a space for citizens without set opening hours and admission fees. Upon entering the park, the first thing that greets you is a large lake and lotus flowers. A fountain in the middle of the lake makes you feel refreshed just by looking at it.

From a distance, they all look like the same rose, but up close, the shapes and sizes vary. The bright colors also delight the viewer. In 2013, the abandoned site was reborn as a resting place in the city center, and now it is a place that brings happiness to many people. This year, an abundance of rose fields was also created, providing beautiful sights.

There are also photo zones where you can take pretty pictures here and there. In addition, paths are made between the rose fields, so you can walk between them. Also, on one side of Hwamyeong Rose Garden, tall pine trees form a forest, so many people enjoy picnics in the shade. In addition, there is a slide for children, exercise equipment, a futsal field, and sports facilities, so it is suitable for family outings.

After a happy time at Hwamyeong Rose Garden, it's time to visit Hwamyeong Eco Park, an 8-minute walk away. There is a neatly maintained trail along the riverside of the Nakdonggang River, and there is a walking path and a bicycle path, respectively. Hwamyeong Eco Park is sections 6-3 of the Busan Galmaet Trails and part of the Nakdonggang River bicycle path that traverses the country. There is a bicycle rental shop near the parking lot of Hwamyeong Eco Park.

Hwamyeong Eco Park is where pure and clear nature is preserved, so you can meet various water plants and ecological wetlands. You can enjoy this special natural scenery and take a leisurely stroll along the walking trails in the middle of the day. You can see many people enjoying a picnic under the shade of pine trees in the open field. Picnic-related events are held several times in the summer.

If you walk to the lotus complex at Hwamyeong Eco Park, you can see Gupo Golden Sunset Bridge. It serves as a bridge and observatory connecting Hwamyeong Eco Park with Deokcheon Station and Gupo Station. You can ride the elevator up and enjoy the panoramic views. When I looked down, people were preparing for the coming summer. Beautiful flower fields will be created in a neatly organized space.

In the evening, enjoy the romantic sunset and wrap up the leisurely spring walk. When it gets dark, the lights on Daedong Hwamyeongdaegyo Bridge turn on, and you can enjoy a fantastic night view. On the way back, you can see night joggers on the brightly lit trails. It is a resting place for citizens from day to night. Hwamyeong Rose Garden and Hwamyeong Eco Park are enjoyable all day long.
