The Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF), Asia’s first event of its kind, has been held annually since 2013 to promote humor culture content and revitalize Korea’s entertainment industry. Now in its 13th year, the festival will once again feature top comedy acts from Korea and around the world—sure to be a laugh-filled event you won’t want to miss!

Driven by the spirit that “Comedy Must Go On,” the BICF returns with an even greater variety of performances. From Friday, August 29 to Sunday, September 7, the laughter will spread across Busan for ten fun-filled days.

This year’s BICF is packed with a variety of programs, including the Comedy Film Festival, which showcases the past, present, and future of comedy; Gag Pay, a theater where you pay as much as you laugh; and events like Comedy School Attack, Comedy Open Concert, Comedy Seminar, and Comedy Street that bring laughter to audiences of all kinds.

The festival kicks off with the spectacular Opening Show: Gag Concert, followed by a dynamic lineup that includes Gag Concert with BICF, Byeon Gi-su’s Beach Show, Ahn Young-mi Show: Rated for All (Breasts) Show, I Transferred Schools for Love, But…, Seoul Comedy All Stars, Mandam Assemble @ BICF, Queen of Communication Grandma Malja Show, and Comedy Company—a colorful mix of Korean and international acts guaranteed to keep audiences laughing throughout. To close the 13th BICF on a high note, the Closing Show: I Am a Comedian-singer will bring the house down. Comedy must go on—be part of the very beginning of K-Comedy boom!
