Museum 1

Opened in 2019 by the art agency Kunst 1, Museum 1 was founded with a mission to expand the cultural role of contemporary art by merging technology, philosophy, and aesthetics. It reflects the spirit of the digital era while remaining grounded in artistic tradition.

Spanning over 2,300 square meters across two floors, the museum immediately transports visitors into a surreal environment. LEDs integrated into the floors, ceilings, and walls create an all-encompassing experience where art quite literally surrounds you. As you move through the space, you’ll encounter multimedia installations that blur the lines between traditional and digital expression, making for a dynamic and unforgettable visit.

Currently on view is a large-scale exhibition titled "Myth: The Beginning Story," featuring more than 100 artworks by 18 contemporary artists from five different countries. The exhibition thoughtfully explores universal themes through a variety of genres, including media, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and installation. One of the exhibition's highlights is a massive 8,000-inch LED room showcasing 15 original media artworks. Sujeong Cultural Empathy Center

Haeundae Platform

In the coming months, an environmental exhibition focusing on marine ecosystems is also planned.
