Friends Tour IN Gwangalli—Gwangalli Meets Kakao Friends

Cute characters everywhere in Busan’s Gwangalli Beach. Hosted by Kakao Entertainment, the “Friends Tour IN Gwangalli” exhibition has been underway here since July 5 and continues until August 31. Set against the stunning backdrop of the ocean and Gwangandaegyo Bridge, this unique experience created by Kakao Friends characters such as Ryan, Choonsik, and Apeach will be a treat for all visitors.

The first thing to catch your eye on the beach is a 6.5-meter-tall Ryan sculpture. You’ll find many photo spots featuring Choonsik on a paddleboard, Kakao Friends figures, and Apeach relaxing by the sea. The exhibition is free to enjoy, and people line up to take photos and have a great time. After sunset, the glowing Gwangandaegyo Bridge and character displays illuminate the night, creating magical moments and picture-perfect scenes.

Alongside the exhibition, the “Choonsik Tour” city tour program will also be a memorable experience. Hop on a Choonsik-themed bus at Busan Station and explore major attractions such as Gwangalli, Dongbaekseom Island, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, and Songdo Beach. By day, Gwangalli shimmers with blue waves; by night, the lights of Gwangandaegyo Bridge transform the sea into something new. Amid this stunning scenery, a special stage comes to life—Millac Ocean Cinema.

Millak Waterside Park is a popular retreat for both locals and travelers, and from August to December, it transforms into a small open-air cinema every Friday and Saturday night. Unlike indoor theaters, this venue offers an entirely different atmosphere—waves create a gentle soundtrack, and the sea breeze adds its own special effects. Beyond the screen, the gleaming lights of Gwangandaegyo Bridge become part of the backdrop and draw the audience deeper into the story. Millac Ocean Cinema offers more than just scenic views. Tickets are only 3,000 KRW per person, and with a receipt of 15,000 KRW or more from a restaurant or café in Suyeong-gu, the fee is fully refunded.
