Dadaepo Beach is known for preserving its natural beauty. In the ocean, artworks blend in as if they are part of nature. Moreover, pictures of the Sea Art Festival exhibit harmony between people and nature. Fall into the scent of art through the vast Dadaepo Sea.
As you walk along the lush green Dadaepo Beach Park with the breathtaking scent of the sea, you will encounter the stretch of Dadaepo Beach. The sight of little sculptures hanging on the tree signals the start of the Sea Art Festival.
A human sculpture standing alone on the sandy beach seems to be waiting for something as it silently faces the sea. Similarly, the sandcastles built on the pit surrounded by the stair-shaped wall seem to be expecting spectators to come inside.
Walking through the many bamboo poles standing upright, you can hear a mournful sound drifting through the wind. A little hut standing lonely at the end of the beach also invites anyone for a moment of deep sleep, with the ocean waves serving as a lullaby.
The triangle-shaped flags on which sea creatures, such as turtle, fish, and whale, are printed make the sandy beach look like sailboats. The sculptures also seem to welcome the sea creatures. Moreover, spectators could enjoy sitting between the works of art and play with sands or take photos of themselves with the artworks in the background. Their excitement blends well with the waves and artworks. These experiences are unique and available only in the Sea Art Festival.
Art could be enjoyed and explored to the fullest. Your increased curiosity about how artists express their imagination in their works while watching them can be satisfied during on-site talks with participating artists. There, you can discover various perspectives toward different artworks. You can also join several experience programs where you can create wonderful memories while learning art’s diversity.
The vast Dadaepo Beach seems to become red because of its beautiful sunset. Artworks are also soaked in the sunset’s red tint, giving off a unique vibe. This is a peaceful time when people, nature, and art become one.
** The schedule for the 2023 Sea Art Festival has not been decided (separate notice if confirmed)
