Before summer began in earnest, we went to Jangansa Valley, a summer resort where you can relax. The place where cool valley water flows and you can feel the coolness just by looking at it is called Jangancheon Stream, and is loved by many as somewhere you can enjoy playing in clear and cool water. You can also enjoy the green scenery along the wooden walkway.

The trail along Jangancheon Stream reaches the entrance of Jangansa Temple. After walking through the valley, we visited Jangansa Temple, a thousand-year-old temple founded by Buddhist Monk Wonhyo of Unified Silla. In the temple, Eungjinjeon Hall, Myeongbujeon Hall, and Sansingak are placed with Daeungjeon Hall at the center, and a three-story stone pagoda is located in the middle, catching the eye. Daeungjeon Hall, designated as a monument of Busan and a state-designated cultural heritage treasure, and Jangansa Temple buildings and the relics of seated Buddha statues designated as tangible cultural heritages, are precious pieces of history that must be preserved.

If you look back while strolling around the temple, you can see a majestic mountain behind the three-story stone pagoda. Jangancheon Stream flows around Bulgwangsan Mountain to create a beautiful valley, and in summer, the valley is filled with vacationers. You can feel the peace in your heart while looking around Jangansa Temple, which has a remarkable history of over 1300 years. Even on weekdays, many people visit the temple to gain peace of mind because of its charming atmosphere despite its small size.

Next to Jangansa Temple is a forest trail full of green trees, including bamboo, called the ‘Wonhyo Iyagisup Forest.’ You can enjoy a pleasant walk along the 108 Bunnoe Trail, passing through a bamboo path thick enough to block sunlight, the Chamhoeuigil Trail, and the Suhaenguigil Trail. The forest path naturally leads to the Bulgwangsan Mountain hiking trail. While you can enjoy the greenery of Jangansa Temple in spring and summer, you can enjoy the colorful leaves in autumn, so be sure to visit.

It is a place where you want to stay for a long time due to the beautifully decorated garden scenery and the secluded atmosphere.

The flowers planted here and there, along with various decorations, add a bright atmosphere, and the lush forest and valley full of greenery make you feel healed just by looking at them. When summer starts in earnest, the valley water will be even more abundant due to the rains.

It is attractive that you can enjoy the view of the valley and a great meal at once. Whole chicken soup filled with healthy herbal medicines and duck slowly cooked on an iron plate will increase your appetite. It is a meal after a walk in the valley and forest trail, so it feels even more special. You can enrich your body and mind while seeing the valley flowing and hearing the sound of the cool water.
