Explore around a rural sea village even when traveling to the center of a city in Busan. Head to Cheongsapo Port and Mipo Port and enjoy the magnificent view of nature.
Cheongsa, which means “blue sand” in Korean, is a name that evokes a fresh and pleasant image. Begin your trip from Jangsan Station on Busan Metro, and go over the hill to pass through the cross, entering the small sea village named Cheongsapo. As soon as you reach the hill overlooking the village, you’ll be mesmerized by the beautiful view of Cheongsapo.
You’ll see Cheongsapo symbols of red and white Twin Lighthouses lining up in a row. Once you face the lighthouses after taking a pleasant walk on a straight path, you’ll be captivated by the panoramic view of the sea and glistening sunshine. The clear and blue ocean moves endlessly, while the sound of waves crashing against the shore pleases your ears. Moreover, the small boats huddling together, and fishing nets everywhere create a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
The landmark of Cheongsapo Port “Mangbusong Pine Tree” stands in front of the ocean. There is a story about a fisherman’s beautiful wife who was waiting forever for her husband at the port. From where she wishes for the safe return of her husband, in front of a tree, lies the dazzling, blue Daritdol Observatory, stretching out beyond the sea.
What beautiful name Daritdol is. Take a stroll on the skywalk observatory like you’re taking gentle steps over the rocky islands, rising over the ocean. The sky above your head, the ocean below your feet, and the horizon before your eyes will greet you.
Now, walk further down to the shore. The coastal observatory of Cheongsapo is almost near the emerald ocean as if it’s embracing it. As you revel on this magical ocean of Cheongsapo, this image will stay in your mind forever as a beautiful memory.
Now, head to the railroad, which is a walking trail that connects Cheongsapo to Mipo. This railroad passes through Gudeokpo Village reaching Songjeong Beach from Cheongsapo to the east, while the west goes to Haeundae Beach through Mipo. Have a wonderful adventure to Mipo Port, one of the few coastal railroads in South Korea with one side full of pine trees and the blue ocean on the other. Mipo is the sea village in the urban area. To know if you’re in the center of the city, you have to see Haeundae Bean, Dongbaekseom Island, and the skyscraper. At the end of their opposite side, Mipo Port, known as Mipo Quay, is a place where small fishing and pleasure boats come in and out.
Cheongsapo and Mipo are small port villages that you can visit whenever you miss the old days
Let’s meet up at the villages in a day, when you long for the colorful lighthouses and blue ocean.
