    • Be careful they don’t eat flowers and poisonous plants like cherry blossoms and azaleas.
    • Avoid fertilized spots! (Pressed-cake fertilizer looks similar to feed.)
    • Your four-legged friend may be excited, and rightly so. Be careful of traffic accidents and dog bites!
    • Never leave your cur alone in a car!
    • Avoid heated roads, which are a burning hazard.
    • Give ‘em a tic spray before going out!
    • Avoid hours with strong UV rays and choose shaded paths for walking.
    • Be careful they don’t eat poisonous plants (ginseng fruit, chrysanthemums)!
    • Walk often to head off that weight gain.
    • Spring and autumn are shedding times. Stay clean with thorough brushing!
    • Keep body temperatures consistent to keep the cold at bay during daily temperature swings.
    • If it’s snowy, then you better put some shoes on it, oh-oh-oh.
(Don’t force it on shoe-hating pooches, though.)
    • Wash their feet well and soothe them with foot balm.
